A beehive ends Poverty!

Wampiti bee keepers association is a community based organization located at Wantabya Village, Wampiti Parish, Wabinyonyi Sub County, Nakasongola District.
It started in 2009 with 30 members with the aim of working together for the development of Bee farming knowledge.I happy t tell you that it has over 83 active members as of this year.
Nakasongola is one of the few Districts in Uganda which have favorable beekeeping environments due to its sparse population,thick vegetation (with sweet nectar sources), there is limited farming
practices which limits the use of chemicals hence purely chemical free honey production. The resource was not utilised until Isaac came up with idea of keeping bees for income generation since there was no serious economic activity in Wampiti and surrounding villages.
It was registered in 2010 as a fully functional Community based organization under the Directorate of Community Services in Nakasongola District.
Wampiti is a poverty stricken community, fortunately the members have the skills and knowledge necessary in beekeeping but can't equally afford to buy equipments unless driven in someway by donating to push them into utilising the knowledge to go above the poverty line.
You may donate equipments like:
Smokers, beesuits, hivetools, a honey press machine and a refractometer or any other equipment you find relevant such as candle molds, soap molds etc .
